Possibly the city’s most recognizable landmark, this Catholic church’s steeple and crown grace the city’s skyline and is a featured icon in numerous photos and images that represent the city of Puerto Vallarta. Year round, there are services in English on Saturdays at 5 p.m.  A bilingual mass is held every Sunday at 10 a.m.  Church bells are rung 30 minutes and 15 minutes before each service.  Respectfully-behaved visitors are always welcome.

Enjoy a stroll along Puerto Vallarta’s seawall prominade. During the day the boardwalk comes alive with various vendors, musicians, jugglers, and artists displaying their handicrafts, as tourists and local pedestrians enjoy the activities amid sparkling sunshine and fresh ocean air.  Twenty blocks long, this paved boardwalk follows the curve of the beach and ocean for a one-mile stretch.

los muertos pier

Hands down, Los Muertos Beach is Puerto Vallarta’s most lively and popular beach.  Located in el Centro, this long sandy beach is a bit funky and eccentric with lots of cool restaurants and bars, performers, and strolling vendors selling their wares.  Most evenings, Mariachi and musicians wander up and down the beach, playing for tips. A favorite place for parasailing, this is a fun area to watch or participate. A fabulous amenity along Los Muertos Beach is the new and elegant Los Muertos Pier.
